I worked 20 days in August, taking the last week of the month off to get away to some peace and quiet, much needed. Also, in the days I did work, I worked less, as you can see below, with 250 bets placed in the month compared to 563 placed in June. This really highlights how you can get £1500 profit in a month matched betting compared to roughly half of that. It is down to the amount of work, time and effort you want or can put in.
One of the main reasons for my reduced time matched betting is that I started working on my website and blog to promote matched betting. I wanted to present just how easy this is to do by sharing my own experience. So many people don’t start matched betting because they think there is a catch somewhere. Hopefully, if you have been reading through all my posts, you can clearly see there isn’t.
Highlights from August
- Started doing quite a few odds boosts, following the Odd Boosts (No Chat) section of the Outplayed forum. Members post in here odds boosts as and when they find them. Of course, only boosts, which can be laid in an exchange to make an instant profit. What is really great in here, too, is Matchbook, one of the exchanges where you can place your lay bets actually pitch in and find odds boosts on various sports for various betting sites. They then create ‘Enhanced Specials’ so you can lay these trebles with a single matched bet. You can follow the Odds Boost page in Outplayed with desktop notifications and even with mobile phone notifications! Or, if you want to search yourself for odds boosts, check your emails and trawl through the betting sites. The sites with the best odds boosts would be Betway, SkyBet, PaddyPower, William Hill, PokerStars and 888 Bet. Several others will put up daily odds boosts, just a case of finding them.
- Betfair had quite a few nice offers this month with some Bet £20 get £20 free bet. This then moved into a streak, so if your selection won, you would get another £20 free bet until your selection lost.
- The usual suspects all did well for me this month, Bet365 4/1 offers, Skybet odds boosts and money-back offers, along with some casino offers. PaddyPower money back if 2nd, 3rd or 4th, the PaddyPower bet club free £10 free bet each week and a few free bets offered on horse racing and football. Plenty of Unibet £20 free bets if winning or 2nd.
